Tram Rider Tips

How to have a safe and pleasant ride on the Portland Aerial Tram.

  • All riders must have some form of a Fare Ticket to board the Tram.
  • Fare Tickets can be purchased (and are checked by attendants) only at the lower terminal.
  • Children 12 years old or younger must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Children six and younger ride free.
  • No eating, smoking or carrying open containers of food or beverages.
  • Fold-down seats in the Tram cabins are reserved for elderly and disabled riders.
  • Riders may take assistance animals, or pets in secure pet carriers, on the Tram.
  • Bikes, strollers and carriages are allowed on the Tram.
  • The Tram cabin attendant is responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable ride. Please follow the attendant’s instructions.
