ALL THE BEAUTY, ALL RIGHT HERE: PORTLAND'S AERIAL TRAM

Soaring over the west hills between Marquam Hill and the South Waterfront, the Portland Aerial Tram connects you to everything our city has to offer – stunning mountain views that stretch from Mt. St. Helens to Mt. Hood, hiking trails, bike paths, picnic areas, waterfront vistas, and much more. The Portland tram is accessible from many of the city’s unique shops, brew pubs, restaurants, and cultural attractions, making it a great addition to any outing. As you explore Portland, make sure the aerial tram is part of your urban trek.

REASONS TO RIDE THE AERIAL TRAM

Views

There's no better place to take in majestic mountains, fireworks and the waterfront than from the top of the Portland Tram

Photography

Bring your camera – digital, disposable, phone – for spectacular photo opportunities. We recommend the outdoor deck to the right of the upper Tram deck for the best light and views

Best Places To Kiss

Our favorites? The Tram. Caruthers Park. Outdoor deck adjacent to the upper Aerial Tram stop. Or the suspension bridge extending between OHSU and the VA Hospital.

Hikes

See osprey, eagles and nesting migratory birds along the South Waterfront footpath. Or connect with one of several Forest Park trailheads from the upper Tram stop.
